What Bee Balm Says Yes (and No) To
Share
We love consigning for our community, and nothing makes us happier than helping beautiful pieces find new homes. But because Bee Balm Boutique is a curated shop (not a thrift store), we’re selective about what we accept — and this guide will help you decide what to bring.
Our goal is simple: bring in items that shoppers will be excited to discover.
👗 Ask Yourself These Questions First
Before scheduling an appointment, take a look at your items and ask:
👉 Would I be excited to find this in a boutique?
👉 Is it in excellent, clean condition?
👉 Is it something I’d price higher than garage sale prices?
👉 Is it too good to donate?
If the answer is yes — we want to see it.
✨ Condition Matters (A Lot)
Items must be clean, store-ready, and in excellent condition.
That means:
✔ Freshly laundered or cleaned
✔ No stains, holes, odors, or excessive wear
✔ Pet hair removed
✔ Working zippers, buttons, and closures
Shoes and boots must be especially clean:
✔ Leather preferred over faux
✔ Clean inside, outside, AND soles
✔ No heavy scuffing, peeling, or odor
If it needs repairs, cleaning, or polishing, please take care of that before your appointment.
👖 What Sells Best at Bee Balm
We focus on pieces our customers actively look for, including:
Women’s Wardrobe Staples
-
Lightweight jackets
-
Quality denim
-
Cowboy boots
-
Clean leather footwear
-
Lightweight sweaters
-
Athleisure from trusted brands
Popular brands include Judy Blue, Duluth Trading Company, Kancan, Liverpool, CAbi, Madewell, Free People, Levi’s, Ariat, Nike, Lululemon, and Under Armour.
We prioritize well-made pieces over fast fashion and are not currently seeking Shein or unlabeled boutique clothing.
🏡 Vintage & Home Décor
We love timeless vintage pieces with character, especially:
-
Vintage brass
-
Mid-Century Modern décor
-
1940s–1970s home goods
-
Pyrex and vintage kitchenware
-
Seasonal wall art
We are not currently accepting clear glass, milk glass, most china sets, or modern big-box décor.
Think authentic vintage — not mass-produced look-alikes.

💛 Quality Over Quantity
Bee Balm consignments are curated so shoppers know they’ll find something special every time they walk in.
We focus on items that are worthy of being photographed, featured online, and promoted — because that extra effort helps your items reach far more buyers.
Consignment is a collaboration:
You bring us the good stuff, we market it and get it sold.
